Olly Smith's Fizz Cocktail on This Morning
Olly showed us his exceptional mixology skills and before long Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were singing their praises of how delicious the sparkling cocktail was.
Here’s the recipe for the sparkling cocktail:
40ml HMS Spirits Mary Rose Gin
10ml Elderflower cordial
15ml Freshly squeezed juice from unwaxed lemons
80ml Hattingley Valley Classic Reserve
Shake the gin, lemon and elderflower with ice and strain into a large wine glass or Copa glass. Top with fizz and enjoy!
The gin that Olly selected was from HMS Spirits who is also based in Hampshire. Their Mary Rose gin is remarkably smooth with beautifully balanced flavours led by juniper.
Given their close proximity, and also that the team at Hattingley were having a BBQ to celebrate the end of bottling the 2018 harvest, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to invite Ben and Grace from HMS Spirits along to the winery to join our BBQ and recreate Olly’s special cocktail with us.
Needless to say it was a fantastic BBQ partnered with a bloody good cocktail! We highly recommend recreating it for yourself at home. Cheers!
